Don Gilman
President and Founder
Don is a seasoned consultant to senior management and a highly respected speaker
and instructor. He earned a BA in Engineering Physics from Westmont College with honors, a BS in Nuclear Engineering from
the University of California at Santa Barbara, and an MS in Engineering Management from West Coast University in Los Angeles.
Don recently returned to the United States after spending over two years in Germany on an International assignment for a Fortune
100 corporation focusing on the growth and expansion of a North American based business into the European market. Currently,
Don is completing his Doctorate degree in Organization Change from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California.
As the Founder and President of the Gilman Consulting Group, Inc. (GCGI), Don
has consulted with clients in the aerospace, automotive, medical device, non-profit, entertainment, retail, defense,
service, manufacturing and telecommunications sectors. His projects often include capitalizing on innovation from all
levels of an organization (including customers), Mergers and Acquisitions Due Diligence, system development oversight, efficiency
improvements, and regaining a lost competitive edge.
Don has taught for various institutions, including the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He has also
developed courses on topics as diverse as Advanced Project Management, Presentation Skills, and Polishing Your Executive Image.
He has appeared on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and many other networks. He has been quoted in the USA Today, the
Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register, the New York Times, and many other local and regional newspapers and periodicals.
Don is on the Board of the Institute of Management
Consultants (IMC) Southern California chapter, and is an active member of AMA (American Management Association), ASTD (American
Society of Training and Development), and AOM (the Academy of Management). Don has also held various board-level positions,
including Chair, with educational, financial, and non-profit organizations.
